Linda and I have shared many many wonderful days golfing with our friends John and Julie Finbraaten.

They witnessed my only Hole in One on January 30, 2009 at the Ventana Canyon Course in Tucson, AZ.

The new Sand Valley Golf Course in Nekoosa, WI is spectacular! We had a chance to play the first 9 holes that they opened in 2016.

In September, 2019, we played the Mammoth Dunes course at Sand Valley with my long time friend Wade Stubson and his buddy Kirby Mueller. John completed the foursome and we were thrilled to have John’s brother Kevin as our caddie.

In June 2021, Wade brought two of our friends and co-workers from our days at Dakota Hospital in Fargo, ND. We were thrilled to have Dave Gray and Steve Slabik join us on the more challenging Sand Valley course. Wade enjoyed the enormous sand traps. Great to have Kevin Finbraaten as our caddy again.

Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has several great golf courses.

In June 2021, we combined golf at Timberstone in Iron Mountain, MI with a boat tour on Lake Superior of the beautiful Pictured Rocks on with a brewery tour. Click here to see more
